Angel Reese delivered a strong performance with 22 points, guiding the Atlanta Dream past the New York Liberty in the decisive game of the series. The Dream held a lead through much of the contest, but New York launched a rally in the second half that narrowed the gap. Despite the Liberty’s effort, Atlanta maintained composure and secured the win to complete a three-game sweep. The series victory marks the first time the Atlanta Dream have advanced to the WNBA finals since their appearance in 2013. Reese’s scoring and the team’s defense were key factors in ending the Liberty’s comeback hopes and earning the franchise its first finals berth in over a decade.
